Patricia, Dora, Christina, and the rest of the staff were fantastic. Patricia and Dora were so full of life and warmth that they felt like old friends we hadn’t seen for ages. You could tell right away how much they love the hotel and helping guests. Nothing we asked for seemed to be a problem. Patricia gave us great suggestions for restaurants, bars, sights, and activities. She booked a port tour and arranged a boat trip, which was cancelled because of bad weather. She then offered two other things to do, and in the end they came with us to an escape room. I really hope they have every success, and if I return to Porto, I’ll stay here again. We were two of us, me at 24 and my partner at 23, and spent a few days in Porto. Pandora Mansion is a beautiful building, with spacious rooms, good storage, and clean, modern bathrooms. Entry to the property is secured with an electronic card, and there are individual room keys. There’s plenty of shared space: a sofa area with a TV and books, plus a large garden with a bar, pool, outdoor seating, grass, trees, and tables and chairs. The spa has a hot tub, sauna, hydromassage shower, and a massage room. You can book the facilities with the host for a good price. Breakfast downstairs was delicious and served in a large room with other guests. When we arrived, Patricia showed us around the house and all its facilities, and made it feel like a home away from home. The one thing to keep in mind is the distance from the city center. It’s a 30-45 minute walk, which is manageable on sunny days and quite pleasant. Ubers are easy to get and cost around 6 euros to the center. Bus routes are nearby, about a 5-10 minute walk to the closest stop, and the metro is a short 15-minute walk away. We went out late most nights, since many Porto bars are open until 6am, and had no trouble getting back in the early hours or entering the secure property. There was nothing I disliked about the stay. The place works if you’re young and want to enjoy Porto’s nightlife, then recover by the pool the next morning. It also suits a quieter, slower visit. There’s a positive atmosphere and respect for other guests from the moment you check in.
