InterContinental Porto - Palacio das Cardosas by IHG

I had a fantastic stay, and would absolutely come back. The service was warm and attentive from start to finish. You're right in the heart of the city, next to the train station and less than 30 minutes from the airport. My beautiful, comfortable room was on the second floor facing the street. The bed was great, the soundproofing excellent, and I loved the tub. Breakfast was outstanding, and the bar staff were especially friendly, making the space feel lively and welcoming. My only small preference would be for firmer pillows. I'd highly recommend it to anyone visiting Porto.

I loved looking out over Praça da Liberdade from my room. Watching people go about their day, with the architecture and fountains around the square, made me feel connected to the city. The InterContinental Porto has a fantastic location and offers a memorable stay. The room was spacious, comfortable, and thoughtfully designed, with elegant furnishings that weren't overdone and a bed that made it easy to rest after exploring Porto. The staff were professional, friendly, and genuinely helpful with recommendations and assistance. The hotel feels opulent, from the lobby to the restaurants and lounges, but still warm and approachable. For a stylish and comfortable stay with excellent service in a prime spot, the InterContinental Porto makes a visit to the city feel special.

I got a free upgrade to a Junior Suite, which gave me plenty of room and a nice view of the square. The hotel has a beautiful lobby, comfortable rooms, and polite staff, and it's very centrally located. There's a lot of intensive construction in the area right now, though. The hotel provided earplugs and a sleeping mask. The concierge was very nice, but the restaurant tips felt generic and weren't particularly good. I felt I wasted time at a couple of dinners. Do your own food research and book ahead.

We only had two days in Porto, and the central location put us right among the attractions and tourist activities, so that part was perfect. The staff were super courteous and polite. The property itself felt crowded and dated, and nowhere near a five-star hotel. The fitness center was far too small, with outdated equipment. Breakfast in the restaurant was below average, with limited choices. The rooms were spacious but also dated, and the vents were loud at night. The old mattresses made the bed uncomfortable. I might stay again if I visited Porto, but only for the location.
