Jardim da Batalha by Shiadu

The team made us feel welcome right away. They were warm, attentive, and genuinely caring. Breakfast was excellent, with plenty to choose from and efficient, friendly service each morning. The hotel was pleasant, well kept, and relaxing, with a comfortable room and high-quality service. Its location is great, about 15-20 minutes from the main attractions. A couple of small things could be improved: water seeped under the shower door, and the wooden floorboards in our room creaked quite a lot. They didn't take away from our very positive stay, but may be worth fixing. Many thanks to the whole team, we'd gladly come back!

The free breakfast spread was unbelievably good: mixed fruit juice with kiwi, zucchini jam, meats and cheeses, savory scrambled eggs, and pastries and sweets. Everyone we met, from the front desk to the breakfast kitchen team, was incredibly friendly. This was probably the most amazing affordable stay I've had in Europe. The location worked really well for our plans, the room made clever use of space with a kettle and water on a table built into the wall, and the bathroom was very spacious. I'd recommend it to anyone visiting Porto.

The weather kept us from enjoying the garden, unfortunately, but I'd still highly recommend this centrally located boutique hotel. Breakfast was delicious, and the staff were so friendly and accommodating. Special thanks to Maria, who welcomed us, shared lots of recommendations, and helped book a tour, to Isabella, and to the gentleman who packed our picnic breakfast.

Breakfast was the highlight, hands down. It was the best meal we had in Porto over three days: fresh, organic, and clearly sourced from the hotel's own farm. Everything tasted fantastic, and the video on our room TV showing the farm's story made it feel thoughtful and authentic. It even outshone the fancier restaurants we tried. We also loved Hotel Jardim da Batalha's location, right downtown and within easy walking distance of everything. Our modern, comfortable room had a lovely balcony overlooking the garden, and the bed was so comfortable we slept really well. The staff were warm and genuinely helpful. Special thanks to the young woman at reception who went out of her way to make us comfortable. Her kindness made a big difference. We'll gladly return to Porto just to stay here again, especially for that unforgettable breakfast. Highly recommended!
