Lemago Poveiros Apartments

The location is good, but there are several problems with the apartments. They're much smaller than the listing suggests. I think the photos may have used a wide-angle lens to make them look bigger. The walls are paper thin, so you can hear and even feel nearly every sound or movement in the building. There's also a bar downstairs that stays open until 02h00 most nights.

Perfect.

The hosts were friendly and quick to respond, and the room was very clean. It's good value for a short stay, with a great location in central Porto and a smooth experience overall. Soundproofing is the main downside. You can hear the neighbors all the time, so it may not suit light sleepers. It's not a deal breaker, but it could definitely be improved.

The repeated shaking made it impossible to sleep. Every 20 minutes, the whole flat, including the bed, would vibrate for about eight minutes. It was quiet outside, so the movement seemed to come from the building itself. I arrived around 8 pm after work and spent the night awake. I messaged the host around midnight but got no reply until the next day, after I contacted Booking.com. The host only responded once Booking.com reached out, even though I had been messaging all morning. They eventually sent two people to inspect the flat, but that cost me a full day and left me scrambling to find somewhere else at the last minute. It disrupted both my work and holiday. I also felt the photos had been taken to make the place look larger and cleaner. A few days ago they had to cancel my stay, and I still don't understand why other reviews hadn't mentioned the problem. That has made me lose trust in the site. This place doesn't seem structurally fit to host people. If you need to sleep, don't stay here.
