Our first two days of the trip were lost to this stay, until we found somewhere else to go. The other places we booked were spotless, which makes it hard to accept the manager's explanation that “it's just like that here in Porto because it's humid.” The booking site photos are out of date and don't show the apartment's actual condition. Mold was clearly visible across the stone walls, and the air quality was awful. There were also marks of mold on the wooden panels beside the cupboard. My travel companion has asthma and allergies and reacted badly. Being there was simply unpleasant. We asked to get our money back so we could move somewhere safe, but the manager flat-out refused. The staff on site were friendly, though they couldn't help. I'd strongly advise avoiding the property until they put money into maintaining it. This felt like a health risk, not a holiday. Booking.com won't let me upload pictures, so I'm posting here too.

Everything was as described, with clean, well-kept rooms and all the essentials inside. It's central but still quiet, and everything is right by your door. I'd definitely pick it again if I return to Porto.

Right in the center, close to amenities and only about 250 meters from the purple metro line to the airport. Even with that central location, the area is quiet. The apartment is brand new, well furnished, and has high-quality finishes. A few drawbacks: there's no washing machine, and the lovely wooden-beam floor creaks a lot, so you can clearly hear people walking above. When we arrived, the cleaning seemed rushed. There was a lot of hair on the floor and, well, other things too. Not pleasant, though perhaps we were just unlucky.
