The ground-floor room was convenient and clean, and the private bathroom was big enough for me. The space isn't large and the kitchen is limited, but it was just what I needed for a few days in the city. Check-in was really simple. I booked through Booking.com a few weeks ahead because I wanted a private bathroom near the city center. The location worked out well, within walking distance of most things in Porto and surrounded by cafes and restaurants. It's a 5-10 minute walk from the train station.

You can hear every footstep from upstairs through the very thin walls. The place is very dirty, with stains on all the seating, what look like bodily-fluid marks on the fabric headboard, hair in the bathroom, and stained towels. It always smells unpleasant. The sink is too low and awkwardly placed. The boiler's hot water only stretches to one person's shower. The bed is hard, worn out, and uncomfortable.
