It’s in a good location with easy access, and the lobby was clean. There’s a small elevator and a shared kitchen, too. But the rooms are small and cleanliness there was maybe 80%, while the lobby looked good. It’s loud enough to hear the neighbors in the next room, and staff don’t really answer messages. They only clean rooms when asked. The blankets are really uncomfortable, and the breakfast is the same every morning, left in a bag by your door.

When we arrived at check-in time, the room was filthy: food scraps, rubbish on the floor, an unmade bed, and a terrible smell from the bathroom. It clearly hadn’t been cleaned. There was no one at reception, the phone number we were given didn’t exist, and nobody replied in chat. After 45 minutes of waiting, we were told it could be cleaned in 10 minutes, which we found unacceptable. We left and booked another hotel. It was a completely unacceptable experience, and I don’t recommend this place. They refuse to give us a refund.

The central location was wonderful for seeing Porto, close to São Bento and fairly close to Trinidade. I have no complaints about the location or the price for that area. But the room and the lack of support were problems. My wife and I tried WhatsApp, the support phone, and email throughout our four days there and never got a response. I also waited ten minutes at the AI kiosk without hearing back. The room didn’t match the size shown in the picture I selected online. The headboard was in poor shape, some walls were dirty or seemed water damaged, and the pillows had no support and kept shifting. I probably wouldn’t stay there again soon.

The photos are misleading, so check the pictures for the specific room you book. Mine had no window, just a hatch that was hard to open, and I couldn’t switch on the air conditioning. There was an unpleasant smell throughout the building, cobwebs on the walls, and dirt around the windows. The place was absolutely substandard. No one was available when I contacted support about the problems. The next day, the accommodation asked me for a 10-point rating. I’m honestly speechless.

Check-in and check-out were very easy, and the room was clean and spacious. Service was great, especially because they were so responsive on WhatsApp. When my boyfriend asked to borrow an iron, they offered one straight away for the next day. I’d suggest that management put a bigger rubbish bin in the room and bathroom. It was a great room in a central location, with good service.
