I've travelled for years and stayed in all sorts of places, but I've never felt so let down or cheated by a host. We booked their apartment at Cordoaria, but the site is now unavailable for leaving a review, so I'm posting here. As soon as we arrived, it was clear the place hadn't been cleaned after the previous guest. There were no towels, bedsheets, or toilet paper, crumbs and hair all over the floor, a dirty bathroom, and a bed in a mess. I contacted the host, but nobody replied during our three days in Porto. We left before the first night and had to pay for another room elsewhere. An apology would've been nice, but we got nothing. For anyone travelling to Porto, I'd recommend booking a hotel with 24-hour reception, since, judging by comments, this seems to happen surprisingly often at other locations too.

The veranda garden was the best part, such a lovely space to sit in. The apartment itself was really nice too, with good air conditioning, a nice fridge, and a comfortable bed. The pillows weren't good.

Apartment A is far too expensive for what it offers. The location was good and it was well equipped, with kitchen utensils, towels, blankets, and pillows. The space is very small, and getting around means climbing lots of very steep stairs. There was a strong musty smell and so much damp that water ran down the stone walls. Rain had also left leaks all over the walls and ceilings. The bed and pillows were quite uncomfortable, the shower water had little pressure, and the TV was in an odd spot that would make more sense in the bedroom. The construction on the neighboring lot should be reflected in the price. The noise made it impossible to rest during the day and forced us to get up early. Maybe the experience would be better in summer, but I wouldn't recommend choosing this apartment in winter.
