Oporto Street Aldas

The location is excellent, which is the only reason I gave this two stars. I've booked five nights and this is my fourth. The room is spacious, but it has a bad smell. I don't know if it's because it's in the basement. Whenever I came back, I had to leave the door open for a while to air it out. The bigger issue was the lack of service. I had to ask for clean towels, a hair dryer and coffee pods, but reception is only staffed during the day. When I left early and got back in the evening, there was nobody to ask. Tonight there was no cleaning or refill of the coffee pods, and I had run out of toilet paper and used the last clean towel. In a Lisbon hostel, the bathroom was cleaned daily. This failure to provide basic service and replenish supplies isn't acceptable. The receptionist had a good attitude, though they couldn't communicate in English, but being nice doesn't make up for not doing essential things for guests.

From this apartment, the view was amazing, and the hosts were kind and attentive. It was also clean and had everything we needed. The street is very old, narrow, and gorgeous. The host said it was the first street in Porto to have a name. The location is right in the center, and once you get used to the maze of streets, lots of nice places are easy to reach. Highly recommend it.

The apartment is gorgeous, and the view is so good you may not feel like going out. It has everything you need, and the host was kind and helpful, with plenty of tips on things to do and places to eat in Porto. The location worked really well too, about a 10-minute walk to San Bento and 15 minutes to the heart of the city. Far enough out to be peaceful at night, but still easy to get back.

We were there for three nights, and the location made getting around really convenient. Our lower-floor apartment was clean and modern. Patrycja was lovely, helped us get settled, and showed us how to use the gadgets. There are a few, including a free mobile phone for guests to use during their stay. The walls are thin, so the cleaner vacuuming in the corridors can get noisy. Hot water runs out quickly too, which some people may not like, though at least it saves water.
