Porto Nobre Hotel

The staff were very nice, and having free parking is a real plus if you're traveling by car. If you're not driving, there's a bus stop right outside. It's a lovely little house that's been restored as a hotel, with airy, spacious rooms, some of them with balconies.

Good spot for a low budget stay in Porto. There's a bus stop and supermarket right across from the hotel, and the rooms were clean with nice, modern bathrooms. Staff were friendly too. Breakfast was very basic, and I felt sorry for the goldfish kept in a glass at the welcome desk.

I booked two months ahead, but they cancelled my reservation on the day I was due to arrive, saying my card was invalid. I had used that same card in Lisbon that day without any problem. They had plenty of time to tell me there was an issue, or at least let me know before cancelling. This was unprofessional and disgraceful. I wouldn't recommend the hotel to anyone. Avoid it.

We walked to nearby bakeries, coffee shops, a pharmacy, groceries, and restaurants, and bus stops made it easy to get downtown. The room rates were great, and there was plenty of parking. My husband and I spent 16 nights in a row at Hotel Porto Nobre and were impressed by the staff, the room, and the grounds. Housekeeping came every day, made the bed, brought fresh towels, and cleaned. We’ll definitely be back next year. Obrigado Cátia e Alexandrina por nos fazerem sentir em casa! José and Fátima Alves
