The 19th-floor bar and restaurant felt cosy, and its limited menu was delicious. Breakfast had great options, and the gym and SPA were well equipped. My room was roomy, clean and really comfortable. Porto Palacio Hotel has a friendly, business-like feel, with calm luxury decor. The staff were efficient and kind. A solid choice for a trip to Portugal, and one I'd recommend.

The way customer relations handled the few issues made a real difference to our short break. Beatriz was especially professional and efficient, and the problems were dealt with quickly. In a hotel this size, occasional hiccups can happen, but the response was very good. The Porto Palácio Hotel by The Editory was clean and modern, with comfortable, well-presented rooms that felt right for a 5-star setting. We had a good stay and would consider coming back.

This is a nice spot for relaxing away from the busy old town. Sixt rental is next door, and there's a Pingo Doce supermarket nearby. The staff were friendly, I liked the rooftop bar, and the downstairs bar would put on whichever sport you wanted. Our room ran warmer than we liked, around 22c even with the AC at full blast. We got late checkout until 1pm. We were prepared to pay to stay until 7pm, but they couldn't give us a price. I also asked to add one night and was told I couldn't do that directly, I'd have to book online and hope they could link it to the existing reservation.

The staff were polite, but our stay was uncomfortable and disappointing. The air conditioning wasn't cooling the room properly, so we spent two unpleasant nights in the heat. We reported it, but there wasn't another room available, which made things more frustrating. After such a great stay at Ocean Way in Funchal, we expected similar comfort and hospitality in Porto, but this fell far short. A hotel in this category should have basics like air conditioning working, especially for guests staying several nights.

The hotel has long corridors and is huge, yet the atmosphere is peaceful. The restaurant and its food were excellent, and lunch was very good. Flávia served us. I believe she was an extra employee, and she was attentive and helpful. I wish all the hotel staff were like her.
