The staff are what make this hotel. Reception booked us a 5.30am taxi and made sure we had a breakfast box since we'd miss the great hotel breakfast. The restaurant team were just as helpful and attentive. The room was lovely, with a great shower and a very comfortable bed. The location is very central and the price reasonable. We ate at the restaurant one rainy night rather than head out, and the woodfired pizza was very good. I'd happily return to Porto and stay here again.

We had a great night at PortoBay Hotel Teatro and would gladly stay again when visiting Porto. Breakfast was good, and the location was convenient. The staff were very friendly, the room and bed comfortable, and they even left us snacks while we were out.

The location worked well for us, within walking distance of the main sights. The shopping area is uphill from the hotel, and the historical center is downhill. Our twin room had a nice view of the street outside and was a reasonable size. We stayed for two nights, and the staff were always ready to help, with plenty of breakfast options. The only issue was the bathroom door: if it covered the entrance too much, you could potentially lock yourself in and have to squeeze a hand through the gap to open it. Luckily, that didn't happen to us.

I keep choosing this hotel when I'm in Porto, and the location and rooms are what I like most. This time my spacious, clean, well-decorated room faced Brasieliera Hotel, and I really liked the view. The temperature was the one problem: it reached 26°, I couldn't turn it down, and nothing was done after I reported it. Breakfast was very good, with hot, cold, and vegan options, but there wasn't much for anyone needing gluten-free food. It's also easy to arrive by car because there's a public car park nearby.
