The location is about 400m from a metro station, not the advertised 100m, with a hospital nearby. If you're used to city living, the area is a bit noisier than usual, and you can hear the street and hallway clearly. The stair lights only come on once you reach the first floor, so the stairs are dark until then. There are almost no surfaces to put things on: just the bathroom sink, kitchen counter, dining table, and coffee table. There's nowhere to hang a raincoat or leave umbrellas or a wallet. Some windows are broken, and the ones that open do so in pretty dodgy ways. The listing calls the Wi-Fi fast and reliable, but it gets only about 9 Mbps at best and is unusable from 18:00 to 22:00 when people are online. Calling it perfect for digital nomads is an outright lie when there's no desk and the internet isn't reliable. The rooms are extremely cramped. The doorways are under 60cm wide, so you'll have to walk sideways, and there's space for just one nightstand. Your partner should bring a flashlight. The kitchen utensils are an odd mix, and the quantities don't match, with only three of some items and five or more of others. Two of the four stove burners don't work. The utensils were dirty and needed washing before use. They did provide olive oil and salt, but the two half-full bottles of oil looked like they were left by a previous tenant. There is a washing machine and dishwasher, but no detergent for either. The bathroom is in poor condition. The window is falling apart, the shower pipe leaks, the base feels like it could break at any moment, and the sink ceramic is cracked. The shower door doesn't seal, so the floor gets wet. There's nowhere to put anything in the shower unless you're over 160cm and can reach the window. Toilet paper is also out of reach unless you're flexible enough to reach the flush while seated. The curtain rod wasn't bolted in and fell on my head when I leaned over the couch to open the window. Why is the couch right up against it? What service? There was a note saying to leave valuables at reception, but there is no reception. Cleaning was fine except they missed under the bed and in one closet, a problem for me since I'm allergic to dust mites. They charge extra for pets like cats but provide nothing for them, no litter bags or box, bowls, or blankets. The apartment is so bare, and even the little things don't work.

The place was badly unhygienic, with a filthy floor and sofa. For a stay of two or three days, people may not expect luxuries, but they should still get some basic dignity. Failing hygiene standards is unacceptable. The room itself was spacious and comfortable, with a large combined kitchen and living room, plus a bedroom and bathroom. It was close to most of Porto's sights. There was no air conditioning, and the painfully slow elevator felt like it might collapse at any moment. Also, how much can a toilet brush cost in Porto?

We stayed with our family in July 2022. The location was good, but the street noise carried right into the flat. The Wi-Fi was terrible, and without air conditioning it was really hard to sleep. Cleanliness was poor too, especially the very dirty sofa in the living room.

We didn't have to spend time checking in or out, since they sent us a code for the hotel entrance and our room. The apartment was well located, and the room was comfortable, clean, and quiet.

The host was nice, but the apartment was depressing and nowhere near worth what we paid. It was far from the centre, the elevator felt dodgy, and the place wasn't very clean, though it wasn't filthy either.
