The rooms have lovely, distinctive interiors, and housekeeping did a great job. The staff were sweet, with very little English, but we managed fine using Google Translate. It's a bit farther from the centre, though Porto is so walkable that this wasn't a problem. We thought it was great value and enjoyed our stay. Thanks for having us, we'd recommend it!

The hosts were lovely, and I'd take this place over an expensive hotel without any character. The hallway tiles are worth a look, they're original from 1904. The metro is 300m away and the airport fare is €2.30. Cafes and restaurants are within a 15-minute walk. It was noisy overnight when Porto FC won the league, but we loved our stay, and it's cheap. We'd definitely come back.

We paid 40€ for two people for one night, so it was a cheap stay in Porto. The room was meant to be a double bed room, meaning two beds, but actually had four. It had an attached bathroom and toilet, fresh towels and hot water. The older receptionists spoke Portuguese and Spanish and were very friendly; luckily we had Google Translate. We told them in advance we'd check out early, around 05:15 a.m. They just asked us to leave the keys on the table.

The bed was very old, but for the price you can't expect more. Still a lovely place, even though we won't go back.
