Vitoria's Terrace Apartments

Rita was such a helpful, sweet host, and one of the most professional I've ever met. She gave us great breakfast tips and wonderful dinner suggestions. The accommodation was perfect, and everything is close by, about a 10-minute walk. We had an incredible stay and will definitely come back soon. Thank you, Rita!

They even left two pastel de natas in our room on the last night, and there was a complimentary muscatel from the Douro valley waiting when we arrived. Both were fabulous. We also got a welcome bottle of red or white wine, and the host carried my luggage up the stairs. The host met us at the entrance, explained the place, and offered a map. Our room was spacious and very nice, with air conditioning and a little kitchen stocked with what you'd need for a short stay. There was a Nespresso machine, and the pods were free, unlike at the last apartment hotel we used in Portugal. Cleaning was available, and they changed the linens daily if you wanted.

This was our favorite stay during our travels around Portugal. At check-in, one of the owners walked us to the room and gave us a really useful map of Porto, recommendations for nearby places to visit, and the history of the building. The location was excellent, too. I highly recommend staying here.

Our hosts were warm, accommodating, and there whenever we needed anything. We loved staying at Vitoria's so much that we're planning to come back with the kids. Porto feels like a dream place for a holiday, and part of us would love to move there. The apartment and its location both get five stars from me. It's close to great food and shopping, though in Porto you have to pick whether you're heading up or down and be ready to walk. Each day we went a different way and found new shops and places to eat. In the evenings, we'd walk down the hill to the river for that dreamlike view of Porto at night. I can't rate Vitoria's highly enough.
