We had a wonderful three weeks here in November 2022. The house is beautifully and thoughtfully furnished, with nothing missing, and MHM provided excellent service, changing the linen and towels every week. They even helped when our car broke down as we arrived. We highly recommend it.
Casa Luz sits at the forest edge, with views over Prazeres and out to sea. We spent 10 days there and had everything we needed. The fireplace was welcome on chilly evenings, and the pool can be heated on request, which makes it nice and warm. You’ll need a car to get around easily. MHM does a fantastic job on site.
There are hiking routes close by, and the Paul do Mar loop is a particularly good choice if you want a challenging, sporty walk. Since this area isn’t very touristy, typical Madeiran bars and restaurants are nearby. The house itself is furnished with real style and personality, with beautiful paintings by Alice Dalton Brown in every room. The view stretches to the sea, and the sunsets are breathtaking. Have a lovely holiday!
