Apartamentos Paula Bela by Garvetur

The location was good and the place was clean, but the apartment felt dated and worn. It’s very basic for the money. There was no WiFi or air conditioning, and not enough plug sockets or bowls. The workmanship was shoddy in places, with doors that wouldn’t lock and untidy finishes. You get what you pay for.

We had a terrible experience and I wouldn’t recommend this apartment. It was in poor condition: the blinds didn’t work, appliances were in bad shape, furniture was damaged, and the sheets and towels were stained. It also hadn’t been cleaned properly when we arrived. The lift kept getting stuck, and staff communication was poor. We were given the key at a reception far from the apartment, then spent ages trying to find the place.

At first glance the apartment seemed okay, but hygiene was lacking. There were no sockets in the bathroom and just one in the kitchen. The appliances were damaged, and there was no coffee machine. The key handover was at reception, and we spent an hour looking for the apartment afterward. When we left, I sent photos of the damaged appliances, but they said we had broken them. I can’t recommend it, especially for the exorbitant price they charge for what’s offered.

There’s plenty of space, and the location in Quarteira is good, though the building is quite old. The apartment’s condition is only just adequate for a holiday rental. It does have internet and cable TV.
