Cegonha Country Club

We had a clean, spacious apartment with a stunning view and convenient access to the garden. A dishwasher would make the stay even better. The poolside restaurant was charming, but it’s quite small and doesn’t have enough seating or baby facilities at busy times, especially when it rains.

The breakfast selection was quite limited, though it worked fine for a quick coffee before heading out. We still had a pleasant stay at Cegonha Country Hotel. The rooms were spacious, clean, and comfortable, with lots of room to unwind, and there was plenty of parking for coming and going. The pool was pristine and refreshing, with comfortable sun beds and a jacuzzi that added to the relaxing feel. The setting was beautiful, the staff were friendly, and the amenities were excellent. I’d recommend it for a peaceful getaway.

We really appreciated how professionally the staff helped when our young dog urgently needed veterinary care. Because of that difficult situation, we had to extend our stay at the hotel by up to a week. We chose a ground-floor apartment with direct access to a private garden because of our dog. The apartment was spacious, but seemed completely outdated, perhaps from the late ’80s or early ’90s. It had no soundproofing, the kitchen was old, and insects got inside on several evenings through holes around the A/C or under the old terrace door. The staff kindly offered us a different unit, but we politely declined because our dog was sick. Sleep was difficult with loud guests above and beside us late at night. On two nights, chairs scraping across the tiled floor woke us around 2-3am. The hotel needs a complete overhaul to bring its comfort and amenities up to 2025 standards. Until then, we’d most likely not return.

Over a week in mid October, and it was a peaceful, restful stay with no noise problems. I thought it was excellent value for money. A great stay, thanks.
