Moura Golf Village

Good value and a convenient location, though you can see the place is showing its age. Internet access should be available.

I spent Mother’s Day weekend with my mum and our dog at this so-called pet-friendly place. He’s not even a year old, grew up during the pandemic, and isn’t used to crowds. When he gets scared, he barks and then hides. The manager kept harassing us, taking photos and filming us at our home, and telling us to lock him inside even though he was outside on a leash. Ironically, he only barked louder when the manager came over to photograph and film us. This has happened three times now, twice within half an hour. Completely unacceptable.

Our flights were cancelled because of Covid. The accommodation had agreed to let us change the dates or take a voucher for next year once we knew when we wanted to travel, but now they won’t honor that and have kept all our money. We’ve both been made redundant this year, so this is another kick in the teeth. I’ll never book with them or booking.com again, and I’d urge others not to either. So unhelpful and just after the money.

Stay well away. This is the most boring place I’ve ever been.
