Parque Atlântico

The area felt quiet and secure enough, and there was free parking. The beach, restaurants and tourist shops were about 5-10 minutes away. There's a grocery shop across the road, with Lidl and Spar a couple of minutes' drive away. The pool was a decent size but too shallow, even at the deep end. There's also a small pool for little kids and showers. The tennis court is playable, but in pretty poor shape: uneven, unlit and hard on balls and shoes. New balls were dead within a week. Most courts around here seem to have hard surfaces, though.

The apartment block is right on Quarteira beach, just a minute's walk away. There are great views, and nice bars and restaurants are only steps away.

A beautiful, lovely and clean place. They take security seriously, but it doesn't feel like a prison.

The lovely sea view has disappeared, and construction noise goes on from morning until night. They start at 7 am and keep going until around 7 pm, even on Saturdays and holidays. It's incredibly noisy even when you're at the pool. They throw everything down roughly at the construction site, and it's unbearable.
