Prado do Golf

We were a group of five adults and three children, ages 13, 8, and 2, on a family holiday. The location is out of the way, with few places to eat or shops nearby, and the pool wasn’t clean. By evening, there was scum floating on top, presumably from people’s sun cream. The worst problem was the cot we had booked for my son’s two-year-old. We arrived at 8 pm and it wasn’t in the apartment. Reception was closed, with the keys left in envelopes taped to the door, and no staff were on duty. The emergency manager refused to bring out the cot, leaving us without a safe place for the baby to sleep. We had to put him on a spare mattress on the floor, wedged against a wall, hoping he wouldn’t wake and wander or fall onto the tiled floor and crack his head. For these reasons, and a few others, I wouldn’t recommend this hotel.

The apartment was clean and tidy, with a dishwasher, washing machine, and spacious rooms. There were plenty of hangers in the wardrobes, along with lots of kitchen utensils and crockery. It’s in a quiet residential area between golf courses, peaceful both day and night. The marina is about a 50-minute walk away, and there’s a bus stop outside as well as taxis available. I’d recommend it for golfers or anyone after a peaceful, relaxing break.

We’re having a lovely time here. The staff are friendly and really helpful, the snacks are superb, and the pool is lovely. Our accommodation is in superb condition and the kitchen is well equipped. The local bus stops right outside, which is useful because it feels a bit isolated for us.

For the price, this place is superb. Everything feels just right on a first visit: fast WiFi at 150mb/s, good water pressure, comfortable furnishings, and a modern, well-equipped kitchen and bathroom. There are dishwashers, washing machines, and clothes dryers, and maid service every three days for cleaning and fresh towels. The woman at reception was lovely and helpful when we checked in. The only small drawback is that the terrace has little shade. A parasol would help, so we bought one at a local shop.
