We left early after a terrible meal at restaurant lago azul last night. The service started badly too: we were shown to a table, asked only if we wanted water, then left waiting about ten minutes before the waiter came back. We had to tell her we wanted drinks from the bar. The food was undercooked. The lamb was dry and far too salty, and didn't smell right. I ordered mustard chicken, but got chicken fillets with a lumpy sauce that wasn't yellow as it should be. The vegetables were still frozen. Some of our group complained, and one person refused to pay for food they felt was below standard. I wrote this today, and I'm ill after eating there. Avoid it at all costs.

We tried both local and international dishes, and every one was delicious. The service was amazing too. Fantastic restaurant.

We made sure to come back and eat at Lago Azul. The owner and his wife are lovely, and the food is the best in the area. The Dorada grilhado (grilled Sea Bream) is fabulous, definitely worth a visit.

The sea is amazing, and we spent many hours there. There are plenty of pools too, and the shops are reasonably priced for those of us staying self-catered. Lovely place, and we’d definitely come again.

The prices were great, and the food was really tasty. Such friendly staff too. We’ll go again.
