Pousada Queluz Hotel

The location and atmosphere are beautiful, the linens are good quality, the staff are polite and professional, and parking right out front is convenient. We’d highly recommend the place. For a hotel at this four star price level, though, some small comforts were missing. We paid for two people, but there was only one chair, leaving one of us uncomfortable whenever the other sat down. Complimentary slippers would have been useful for the marble bathroom or the carpet everyone walks on, and an extra single bed cover would have been nice. Portugal isn’t very cold in fall, so the polyester bed cover was too much. There also wasn’t a coffee and tea service, or pastries available during the day for guests and palace visitors.

I still get goosebumps thinking about our wedding day. It was the beautiful, fun, intimate wedding I’d dreamed of, and the team handled everything so well that I didn’t have to lift a finger. The food arrived hot, fresh, and right on time. I’m still dreaming about the apple pie 🤩 We married here in August, and the warmth and hospitality were unlike anything we’d experienced. Rute was a superstar, the kitchen and serving teams treated us like royalty, and Gomes took such care setting up the hall, as if it were his own wedding. Every little detail was handled with love. My guests felt safe, welcome, and pampered. There were a few check-in hiccups, but we forgot about them once we got to our rooms. The rest of the weekend felt magical. Thank you, Rute, Gomes, and everyone who brought so much kindness and joy to the day. You made my dream come true. We’re already talking about coming back for an “extra honeymoon” lol. We appreciate you all so much. 🙏🏽💛

Breakfast had a huge selection and everything was very fresh. The manager was welcoming and available if we needed anything. We had a lovely two-night stay in a quiet, comfortable room in an intriguing historic building. Thank you!

A delicious breakfast, free parking, and restaurants within walking distance. The rooms are lovely, in a historic building close to beautiful gardens.
