Quinta de Santana

The garden was full of lovely plants and flowers, and our little home was just the right size and kept clean regularly. We especially loved the 10 (!) friendly, cute cats. Such an enjoyable stay!

We loved the 12 cats who live here, especially when they came over for a chat while we were in. If you don't like cats, this probably isn't the place for you. The gardens are beautiful, the pool gorgeous and very clean, and the accommodation was spotless. The kitchenette had enough for us. It was very quiet, and the staff were really lovely. The bedroom could have used air conditioning, but reception brought us a fan that was enough at night. The lounge air conditioning was okay, though it might need a re-gas.

We spent two weeks here and really enjoyed it. The apartments are wonderful, well maintained, and cleaned every day. The staff were kind and helpful. Cat lovers will especially enjoy staying here. I'd highly recommend it.

The location makes it easy to get around the island, and the resort is quiet and private. We enjoyed relaxing by the pool, and the little playground was handy for young kids, though it could use some touch-ups. The suites and garden are beautiful, and the staff, from housekeeping and gardening to reception, are excellent. Owner Emanuela pays attention to the details and makes sure guests have what they need. This was our second stay, and we're already thinking about coming back next summer. The one thing I miss is the chicken coop. I loved walking down the garden to see the chickens, and sitting there for hours. It made the place feel like a little farm, and I hope they bring them back. It's a lovely spot whether you want to explore the island or simply relax at the resort. We love this place and hope to return soon.
