The highlight was Célia, who really went out of her way to make our visit better. We stayed three nights and loved it. The refurbished house is right in the centre of reguengos de monsaraz, with four rooms, a courtyard, a small pool, and a kitchen guests can use for breakfast or other meals. Highly recommended.

Celia really makes you feel looked after from the moment you arrive. Breakfast was a treat, with fresh bread, cheese and fruit bought that morning, plus individual pots of homemade preserves from her mother. She can also sort out dinner reservations and let the restaurant know you’re coming, including asking for an English-speaking waitress. Our room had lots of charm and all the amenities we needed, and the air-conditioning was cold. The quiet courtyard and pool were lovely for a hot siesta. If you’re visiting Dark Sky, Sharish Distillery, local wineries, Castelo de Monsaraz or anywhere in Alentejo, I hope you can get one of her four rooms. Just book it.

Celia and Ana were such generous, friendly hosts, and they helped efficiently with taxi and restaurant bookings. The rooms were lovely and the location worked well. They did so much to make the stay special. Thank you both.

Breakfast was full of local products and made just for us. Célia and her parents were fabulous hosts, and the place was spotless and very comfortable. Everything felt new. Well done, Célia, we’ll be back.
