It’s a little outside Pinhao, but the setting and views make the trip well worth it. The owner even offered to show us around his small winery, and both he and the manager were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was included and really good. We wish we could’ve stayed a whole week, and we’ll recommend it to friends. Such a relaxing place, with stunning views and great value.

The dinners were delicious, and we loved their wine. The homestead sits in a gorgeous spot with wide open views, and the rooms have air conditioning and comfortable beds. Service was fantastic. The pool is a real treat with that view, especially in summer. Pinhao and the wineries are about a 25-minute drive away. I’d definitely recommend it.

The rooms were good, and the Douro valley view is amazing. Getting anywhere takes some planning, though, since the hotel is quite remote and the nearest town is about a 30-minute drive. The pool looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in a long time, which was awful. Breakfast was a bit dull, but fine for a day or two.

We’d happily return. The service was great, and the woman there was very nice. The hotel’s in a perfect spot, too. We couldn’t use the pool, though, because its water was green, even with sunny weather and temperatures around 35C during our stay.

Getting to Pinhao for other food options takes around 20-30 minutes, depending on how quickly you handle those winding roads. There isn’t much nearby to eat. The views are magnificent and the staff are friendly. The design feels a little dated, and dinner was good but overpriced.
