Anna was a brilliant host during our one-night camper van stop. The wine tasting was really informative, and we loved the wine and olive oil at Quinta dos Espinheiros. The setting is beautiful, with vineyards all around and views across the valley. We also walked up to Provesende, a very authentic village. The bakery is well worth a visit.

Anna gave us a fantastic private tour, and she’s an absolute gem. Be sure to check out her shoes too! We loved the wines, especially the reds. We’ve tasted in Napa, Sonoma, Paris, Bordeaux, Greece, Spain, Tuscan, and plenty of other places, and these reds are amazing. Burro from ToursByLocals drove us there and shared some history about the Douro Valley and the winery. The family owns 20 acres and offers some old-vine reds. We also sampled their 50-year-old Port and olive oil. Absolutely recommend.

The owner was incredibly helpful and sweet, and the wine tasting included with our stay was delicious. We spent two nights in the beautiful house beside the Quinta. It was an amazing visit to the upper Douro, and I highly recommend stopping by the Quinta, even just for a tasting.

We’d gladly come back. The hosts were friendly, the port wine was amazing, and waking up to those views was a treat. It’s a peaceful vineyard with tastings of the family’s wines, port, and olive oil. They also have overnight parking for motorhomes, with water and electricity available.
