There's no cleaning service during an eight-day stay, so keep that in mind. The interior is simple and could use some cleaning and restoration, though nothing was too disturbing. The kitchen had what we needed to cook, and all the equipment worked. Shopping means an 800 m walk. The apartment is well placed for getting around the area, with several beaches about a five-minute walk away. Across the road is the best restaurant nearby, and the best ice cream spot is 50 m away. The tradeoff is that you're beside a very busy road, so it's less peaceful than you might expect. On arrival, call Anabel, who will meet you there. There's a 100 EUR deposit, but we had no trouble getting it back. You can use four parking spots, plus the nice underground garage, although its entrance has a rough, high curb.

The apartment was clean and conveniently located, but some appliances need updating. The bigger problem was how Anabela treated us when a pipe burst one evening and water started flooding the place. It was Sunday, and we struggled to reach anyone. By the time Anabela arrived, it was nighttime and we were outside with all our belongings to keep them dry. She spoke to us in an extremely rude, accusatory way. Once she realized we hadn't caused the leak, she started mopping, but didn't suggest anywhere for us to stay. I went in to ask what we could do and got a negative response at first. Eventually she agreed to call the registration manager, who quickly found us another apartment. Anabela stayed rude and didn't apologize for the inconvenience. Booking.com were great when I contacted them the next day, apologizing and offering a rebate. I wouldn't stay in ann Atlantic Sagres accommodation again.

I visit Sagres every year, and so far this has been the best value budget accommodation I've found. The location is ideal for surfers, just a three-minute walk to Tonel Beach and a few more minutes to Mareta beach. It's well equipped, with underground parking, and both the manager and landlord are kind and helpful. I only discovered the place this year, and I'd definitely stay here again.

The apartment was clean, and communication with the property was good. Check-in and check-out were both easy and smooth. I would suggest replacing the mattress, which felt old.
