International Surf School & Camp

The team was so great, especially my instructor Gordo, thank you, you’re the best :) I can’t wait to come back xx. In one week with this surf school I improved more than I had in three weeks at other schools. They gave us really good technical training and plenty of time in the water, choosing the beach with the safest conditions for surfing.

The instructors were highly professional and gave me lessons that matched what I needed to work on next. I was really impressed with my experience at International Surf School. Safety is clearly a priority: they choose conditions for each level, taking waves, tide, wind, and currents into account when planning lessons. I felt in good hands and would do it again. For the time spent in the water and the quality of instruction, the price is more than reasonable. Muito obrigado Vitor, Rodrigo, Alex and Rafa e Carlos no ano passado!

I spent a week at the surf camp and took five lessons. The accommodation and location were great, and most of the people I met were quite nice. The instructors are qualified and clearly love their work. Their tips helped me understand how to improve and what to focus on. The school puts particular emphasis on safety and waits for suitable tides, especially since there are lots of beginners. That can mean some waiting on the beach, which is tough in the heat and sun, but it’s better to be safe. Bring plenty of sunscreen and water, and something for shade if you can. It was a great experience, and I highly recommend it!

I made more progress in a week here than I ever have before. I really appreciate that the instructors care about long-term improvement instead of just chasing good reviews. The school and its instructors are world-class. Huge thanks to Rafa, Gordo, Rui, and Alex!
