PuraVida Divehouse

I left a little disappointed, though I might come back and give it another chance because the location and surroundings were lovely. The stay itself was fine, but a few things could be better. I sent in forms ahead of time, got no reply, and was asked to fill them out again in person, which felt disorganized. A few small room additions, like mosquito screens or bed protection and individual reading lights, would help too. I was assigned the top bunk for several nights, even though I was staying the longest and hardly anyone else seemed to use the room. It was the only bed without proper wardrobe space. The other beds' storage was empty, while I was offered just a shelf. I wish I'd been given a choice on arrival, since a lower bunk would have been more comfortable. Reception also couldn't answer my questions about diving the next day, which struck me as odd. My dive guide was lovely, but some equipment problems seriously affected the dive. I skipped a whole dive and lost money because I didn't trust the kit's safety that day. There was no compensation or formal apology offered.

The underwater life was richer and more beautiful than I expected, and I felt safe on every dive. The atmosphere is relaxed but professional. I'd definitely recommend diving here and staying at this dive center in Sagres if you're in Algarve and want to explore the underwater world. For me, it's the best dive center in Algarve.

The owner was kind and helpful, and the place has a nice vibe. I rented snorkeling gear and a wetsuit for half a day. The kit was good quality and the price very reasonable.

Huge thanks to Arturo for two wonderful dives, awesome! Pura Vida dive house was super flexible about fitting me in. The diving was professional, the equipment solid, and the dive sites amazing.
