I’m still really angry about how this was handled. My friends and I booked as students, it was a lot of money for us, and I’d been looking forward to visiting sagres again. We had to cancel our stay at the last minute two years ago when Portugal became a high risk country and returning to Germany meant a mandatory 14 day quarantine. At first, the host understood and offered to keep the money as credit for a future stay. I specifically asked whether there was an expiry date and was told there wasn’t one. When I got back in touch to arrange new dates, I was told it was no longer possible, then got ghosted. That’s so unprofessional, especially after we relied on what the host had promised. Airbnb wasn’t any help either, but that’s another review. Enjoy the extra 600€ you made.

We were seven in the group, and the house had plenty of room while still feeling cozy. The kitchen had what we needed, and the garden was fantastic, barbecue included. The area was quiet, though we did visit in the off-season. The host was attentive to our needs throughout. I’d happily consider staying here again if I’m back in the area, and would recommend it.

It felt like being at home, just away from home.

The staff were so friendly, and the houses are beautifully decorated. This was our second stay, and we found them spacious, spotlessly clean, and right in the center.
