We really enjoyed the quiet location, and the host was lovely and very helpful. Planes do land or take off late in the evening and early in the morning. I liked watching them, though the noise could bother someone else. Highly recommend!

We found Santa Cruz a nice city, close to the airport and Funchal, and the quiet area made it a great place to recharge in the sun and its microclimate. At Salt Water Villa, the private access felt like a dream. The owner was positive and very helpful. Everything was perfect, and we'd highly recommend it.

We'd happily stay here again next time. André was a very friendly host and always ready to help with questions. The house is cozy, and it's well located for getting around. You can watch planes on their final approach, but the brief noise didn't bother us.
