The people here clearly care about making guests comfortable, and we felt that throughout our stay. Our room had a comfy bed, a nice bathroom, and was really well equipped. The welcome basket was a lovely surprise, and I’m always happy to find bathrobes in a hotel. A Casa Brava is beautiful, Santarem is a lovely town, and it worked perfectly for us before our morning international flight from north of Lisbon. Highly recommend!

The host was welcoming, friendly, and easy to reach whenever needed. The apartment is spotless and right in the centre of Santarém, with thoughtful decor and clear care put into the details.

The pool and courtyard were a real highlight, with plenty of privacy, and we loved the history and setting of Santarem. Our family was in Portugal for my daughter’s wedding, and the whole complex made the trip special. Each room had its own theme, and the remodeling was done beautifully, including the tasteful bathrooms. The owners and staff were kind and thoughtful, and we were thrilled with the service and accommodations. We look forward to coming back soon. Thank you for such a memorable stay, we really appreciated your hospitality!

I booked through Booking.com on May 16, 2025 for September 27, 2025 and paid in full. Then, on September 23, I got an email saying the booking had been cancelled. Booking.com told me the property was overbooked. I had to find somewhere else to stay, and it cost me more. Don't book, and don't trust them!

There are loads of different places to sit around the gorgeous pool in the middle, with lots of comfortable options. The rooms were spacious and beautiful, and the accommodations exceeded what I expected. The hosts were so welcoming and friendly. A Casa Brava is in a fantastic location in Santarém, a charming town that doesn't get a ton of tourists. It was the most amazing place I stayed in Portugal. I'd go back in a heartbeat. Thank you to our hosts!
