The grounds are expansive and beautiful, and it’s very quiet with a lovely pool area. It’s especially convenient if you have business at the Unidade Local de Saúde do Litoral Alentejano, hospital or clinics. The WiFi is slow, though, and there aren’t many conveniently placed plugs for charging electronics.

I was here as part of a riding trip, during the off season, and our group pretty much had the place to ourselves. The staff were lovely. Literally nothing to complain about.

Set in a quiet part of Santiago do Cacem, this Quinta makes a perfect getaway. The rooms are spacious, the staff are fantastic, and there’s an amazing pool and a gym.

Very clean country hotel, with a huge outdoor pool. The road in is narrow, and the enclosed gate means it’s not easy to spot.
