wecamp Reserva Alecrim

We loved the stay and are definitely coming back. The kids still made good use of the pool, despite the indoor pool cover having been damaged in a storm, and the views were incredible. A big thank-you to the wonderful staff and the frogs for making it special. For a family of four, the single dome felt a bit tight, even though it was cozy and well designed. A larger dome with an extra room would suit us better, unless your little adventurers are between 5 and 8! The shower pressure could be a little stronger too. With small kids, that low-pressure shower turned into an adventure, though we made it fun. Something for @management to consider. One idea for @wecamp management: since the domes have kitchenettes, how about a “Happy Guest” policy? If everything is in good shape after checkout, with no broken glasses or plates, guests could get a 10% discount or voucher for a future stay as thanks for taking care of the space. You could make it fun with an email along the lines of, “You were a great guest and kept everything intact, AND didn't put toilet paper where it shouldn't go 😉, so here's a voucher for next time! We'd love to have you back.” Just an idea!

We booked well ahead, but at wecamp Reserva Alecrim we were still given an old, clearly worn-out Dome Family. The bedroom, common area, and bathroom were all in very poor condition, far below what we expected. When we brought it up with management, they offered no solution. A very disappointing stay.

The kids were happy for hours with the great choice of pools, and the staff were nice. We had a beautiful family holiday in a spacious site, staying in pods and bungalows with balconies and views. The interiors felt like a hotel, not camping, and the beds were comfortable. There's one restaurant on site, or you can use the basic cooking kits. You'll need a car, since there's no shop for 5 miles. The beach is about 8 miles away, and it's fab, clean, and spacious. Thanks, alecrim. We'll be back.

The campsite and surrounding area are fine, but communication and cooperation from reception and management were extremely poor. I wouldn't recommend it for young families or for anyone who doesn't want to drive 15 minutes for every meal. We booked Wecamp specifically to have dinner on site with my wife while our baby slept. One day before arrival, we heard one restaurant might be closed during our stay. At check-in the next day, we learned both restaurants were shut, though the pizza place was supposed to stay open until 17h00. We arrived in time for pizza, only to be told they had closed early that day. The only option for food was a restaurant outside the campsite. The nearest ones were a 15-minute drive away, and most opened after 19h00, when our baby was meant to be asleep. Nobody offered a suitable alternative or helped us out. The late notice also meant we couldn't book somewhere else.
