Casa Beny 1897 Guesthouse

We only stayed one night, but it gave us a lovely chance to rest. The architecture is beautiful, and the spacious room was comfortable. Even the sheets smelled amazing.

The location and cleanliness of this hostel are exceptional, but calling it a “Bed and Breakfast” is seriously misleading. They provide a kitchen and mini fridge for guests to make and store their own food. You can also make a cup of coffee for half a euro, thanks. Breakfast on the rooftop terrace means carrying up the breakfast you bought and prepared yourself. Don't forget to bring your own table and chair. I'd avoid this place and enjoy Loule, a wonderful town, while staying with a more welcoming and honest host or hotel. In response to the owner's comments, we did make every effort to pay. After many emails asking for the owner's details, we wired the funds. It took several attempts, but the owner has been or will be paid in full despite what they said. We were also told that this incident would be reported to the local authority and might jeopardize their AI licensing.

The rooftop terrace was the best part. The place was clean and central, and otherwise okay, but the rooms were tiny. The so-called door to the bathroom was terrible; a real door would have made it quieter when using the toilet. I don't understand why guests can't cook their own food when there's a kitchen on the terrace. There were also too many signs everywhere telling you what not to do.

Right in the center of Loulé, this place was clean, chic, and cute. The owner, “Beny”, welcomed us so warmly. We could easily have stayed a few more days. We recommend it a thousand times!
