Dreamsea Surf Guest House

I picked Dreamsea Sintra because I wanted to surf in continental Europe, and it was the only surf camp open in December. The surf in the photos appealed to me too, and the price felt like great value. I loved the food, the surf sessions, and how friendly and supportive the staff were. The house had a warm, welcoming atmosphere, and everyone was really nice and helpful. I’d definitely come back, or try another Dreamsea surf camp after this experience 💛

The people made the whole stay for me. Guests and staff were open-minded and relaxed, and it felt like one big family. I was travelling alone and found plenty of lovely people to connect with. Fabienne, the social host, kept the days and evenings lively with things like surf fitness, movie night, and sip and paint. We even went partying together in Ericea. There are lots of evening activities if surfing leaves you tired. I’d never surfed before, but after three days I could catch waves on my own. The instructors were cool and laid-back, with really useful tips. I was there in mid-August, when the waves were good for beginners and not too big. We stayed in a glamping tent. It was clean and spacious, with its own bathroom and a very comfortable bed. Nights got cold, but the thick blanket was enough. Bring a sleep mask and earplugs, since the tent walls are thin and the sun comes up early. The meals were a highlight: a healthy, delicious breakfast buffet, a tasty lunch that was more like a big snack and a nice surprise each day, then a very good three-course dinner every evening. The house is about 10 minutes by car from the sea and 20 minutes from sintra. Uber worked really well, was cheap, and took us on daily trips to places like sintra, cascais, and cabo de roca. You can also borrow bikes to explore on your own. Short version: amazing food and staff, I learned a lot surfing, it’s easy to get around by Uber or bike, and there are lots of places to explore, including sintra, cascais, Ericea, cabo de roca, and lovely beaches. 11/10, I can only recommend it.

I LOVE DREAMSEA SINTRA!!! The surfing was so good, and the instructors were great and helpful. I stayed in the house and had a super comfortable bed, a clean bathroom with warm showers, and loads of living space where we had so many laughs. The chef made fresh meals three times a day. The kindest staff and social hosts, Ivan, Maga, Ema, and Rosa, made the place fun and welcoming. Definitely come if you want to surf and meet new people :)

I visited in late December over the winter, and the weather was amazing. The water wasn’t too cold either. The staff were wonderful and created a friendly, family-like atmosphere. I highly recommend staying here 💪🏻
