After a long, rainy day on our tandem, it was such a relief to be welcomed so warmly. They let us store the bike, and even though we’d missed the local shop, there were sandwiches and tapas available, plus lovely local wine. The room was quiet and comfortable, and breakfast the next morning was delicious. We were really glad we chose to stay here. Thank you for being so kind 🙏

Rui was a wonderful host, and we really enjoyed our stay. There were lots of tasty choices at breakfast. The room was comfortable, lovely and quiet, and the central location made it easy to reach all kinds of places within 30-40 minutes.

The staff were friendly and very helpful, and the room had air conditioning and heating. It’s a beautiful original Portuguese house, with exceptionally clean, tidy bedrooms and a spacious bathroom with hot water. Breakfast was excellent. I’d highly recommend staying here.

We were sorry to leave after just one night. We’d have liked more time to explore the area with this place as our base, and it was one of the highlights of our Portugal trip. After hiking, we could sit on the terrace and our host brought us cold beer. He also arranged sandwiches and wine at very reasonable prices, serving everything so graciously. When my husband was bitten by a little dog, our host brought out his first aid kit and made sure the wounds were disinfected and dressed properly. He did everything to make us feel at home and comfortable. Thanks for such a terrific stay.

The rooms are beautiful, and the mattress was really comfortable. Mr. Rui took great care preparing a delightful continental breakfast, and Dona Eva was so kind. Mr. Rui is an amazing host. I’d recommend this place to anyone, and hope to come back when I visit the Monsanto area again. Thanks!
