The fridge is open all night, there's wine, and the Wi-Fi works well. It's about 20 km from the main sights like Madelena and Mount Pico, so it's best suited to a relaxing stay of a few days. The place and service are both good.

A laid-back place to stay, with friendly service. There's a kitchen everyone can use, including a fridge and oven.

The room was spacious, and breakfast was good, especially the eggs. The house was very noisy. I could hear the person in the next room yawning, talking, and so on. If someone leaves at 6, all the noise will wake you up. The shower head wouldn't stay in place while I showered, which was really inconvenient. Worst of all was the low water pressure, especially in the toilet. The rooms were dark even with the lights on.

We loved hearing the festa music drifting in through the window, and the hosts had kindly warned us by email that it might be noisy. The suite felt rustic but lovely, with a sweet view, and it was clean. Breakfast was spot on, and there’s parking on site plus drying racks for wet things and free wifi. You can walk to the natural pool and black sand beach, with loads of trails nearby, though the town is very hilly. The staff were friendly and helpful. We’d stay again 10/10 times.

The receptionist couldn’t help with even basic tourist information, and if something goes wrong in the evening there’s nobody there to assist. Still, the place is brand new and very comfortable. My room was spacious, the bed was great, and the view was beautiful. Breakfast was good.
