Herdade Amália

This was our second visit to Amalia’s Paradise, and we’re already eager to return. Antonio is a warm, attentive host whose passion shows in every detail. His stories and kindness made it feel like staying with a friend, and his cooking has that special home-cooked quality that brings comfort and delight. He creates such a beautiful atmosphere, a real escape. We loved the beauty and peace that Antonio and his Team make possible. We’ll always treasure this haven. See you soon 🤗

We really valued how peaceful it was here. The pool was very good, and the rooms, while not luxurious, had all the amenities we needed for our stay. The hosts were lovely and chatty. The sea and beach views are wonderful, with direct access to Amália beach.

It feels much cozier than staying in a hotel, with a one-of-a-kind atmosphere and an amazing ocean view. Antonio and Jhon’s three-course menu is well worth recommending. What an amazing spot.

John, our host, was brilliant. He did everything he could to make the stay comfortable and enjoyable, and deserves 5 stars. He may need support from management with the problem we encountered. The second night spoiled what would otherwise have been a completely wonderful two-night stay. A group of eight ate in the open dining room beside the main bedroom, then stayed there until after 2 a.m. Their extremely loud, rowdy behavior made it impossible for us to sleep properly after we went to bed at about 10. They acted as if the place were their own home, with no consideration for other paying guests. If they had stayed at the table until around 11 and then gone to their rooms or outside accommodation, I would have had no problem. This could happen to other guests too. Management should set and enforce quiet hours, perhaps from 23:00 to 08:00, and make the rule clear when people book, so every guest gets the same chance to enjoy this beautiful house without being disturbed by others.
