I loved how much nature there is here. There are trails, all sorts of plants, insects, birds and other animals, and you can hear running water from the rivers around the property. The outdoor pool area is beautiful, and the staff were friendly and attentive. You can tell a lot of care goes into restoring and looking after the land. The building and rooms mix modern updates with their historic charm. My bed was firm and very comfortable, the kitchen had everything I needed to cook, and its appliances worked really well. The bathroom was clean with good shower pressure. There’s also an AC unit that works great, though I barely used it. Many places are walkable. If you arrive by bus, I’d get off at São Romão and walk downhill for a few minutes rather than walking uphill from the Seia stop. For my taste, this is five stars.

The service was great and breakfast was excellent. It’s a peaceful, pastoral setting with lovely gardens and a pleasant pool. We had a wonderful vacation and would highly recommend staying here.

We found the price fair for what you get, including breakfast. The staff are warm and professional, and the apartments are spacious enough, with a fireplace and a reasonably well equipped kitchen. The quinta is nicely decorated. It’s a pleasant apart hotel in Seia, well placed for the city centre and Serra de Estrela.

The staff were fantastic, and the pool area is lovely, but the place feels musty and run down now. It must have been great in its day, though it’s showing its age. If you’re here in summer, visit Museo de Electricidade. There’s a river beach nearby that’s stunning. Bring lunch and make a day of it.

We had a great three-night stay. There are two pools, one indoors and one outdoors, a playroom, and a breakfast with plenty of options. The rooms have air conditioning, which was a big help in the August heat. The staircases are very steep, though, so they’re tricky with young kids climbing around at night. There are also no upstairs outlets, which made charging a phone used as an alarm a problem. Recommended!
