We had a wonderful family stay and a fantastic view from our room. Getting to the beach was easy, and there were lots of great restaurants nearby.

The sea views are amazing, and it’s only a short walk into town or down to the harbour. The hotel is lovely, though it feels a little dated.

The hotel has three pools, two outside and one indoors, and it’s a fantastic place to stay. The restaurant is good, with a beautiful view over the ocean and beach, though meals cost about 34 euros per person, which isn’t the best price. A few things bothered me. They require a 25-euro deposit for each pool towel. When I asked for cutlery to eat food from an outside restaurant in my room, they refused, even the disposable cutlery they offered. Eating at the hotel for 34 euros per person every day just isn’t feasible. Also, you have to wear a swimming cap in the indoor pool, but they don’t tell you that in advance. You can buy one at reception for 5 euros.

The views are delicious, and remember to take the elevators down to the beach unless you’re up for steep walks. The place is very clean, with excellent staff who are professional and informative. Breakfast is limited, but we found a few favorites. It’s a dated hotel, though we loved the decor. It has a real vibe. Highly recommend!

Sesimbra has been one of my favorite places in Portugal since I was young, so I’ve always loved coming here to spend time. This hotel makes for a quiet, relaxing holiday with the basics you need to recharge. I’d rate it 4.4 compared with similar hotels I’ve stayed in. It isn’t fancy, but it has good facilities, including indoor and outdoor pools, and direct access to the beach. The booking and check-in and check-out all went smoothly. Staff were very friendly and helpful, and their English was good. Rooms are spacious and have a good-sized balcony with a sea view.
