We were grateful for the hospitality and will come back when we’re in the area. Norberto greeted us warmly and made our late check-in work. Mário Miguel, the owner, was a great host and very accommodating to our group, even with a couple of hiccups on our end. This family-run hotel is tucked away in the Arrábida natural area, with lovely decor inside and out and very comfortable beds. There’s plenty of parking, which you need in this area.

The photos on Booking make this place look lovely, but they didn’t match what we found. We were in the garden room, which felt damp and neglected. The bathroom door slides but doesn’t shut all the way, and the bathroom window was the only window in the room, with no mosquito net. We’d booked for longer but left after one night. They offered us another room, though by then we just wanted to go. We appreciated getting a refund for the unused nights, and hope the garden room gets some care. Maybe other rooms are a better experience. I’d read the reviews here, on Booking and Trip Advisor, and honestly couldn’t believe them.

There’s a pleasant little pool, and breakfast comes in nice boxes. A decent small hotel.

Mario gave us a warm welcome and had good tips for beaches and restaurants nearby. The hotel itself is charming, cute, and relaxing, and we had a great stay. There are a few lovely towns around besides Sesimbra, though you really need a car to explore the area. We hope we can come back soon.
