A Casa do Lagar

My visit last June was wonderful, and I said I’d come back. I will be returning in March. I hope you’ll get in touch with me.

The outdoor space is a lovely place to unwind, and the pool was at a very pleasant temperature. Inside, the rooms are spacious and comfortable, and the whole house was spotless. Casa do Lagar is in a very quiet part of Azeitão, close to several cultural and tourist attractions, especially Serra da Arrábida and its wonderful beaches. It’s also easy to get to Sesimbra, Setúbal, Troia by ferry, and even Lisbon, thanks to the convenient highways and main roads. D. Ana is a five-star host who clearly loves her home. She was attentive and always available to help make our stay and holiday as good as possible. Definitely a place I’d highly recommend!

The house is tastefully furnished and full of books, paintings, and sculptures. The pool isn’t Olympic-sized, but it’s just right for a few laps and some relaxing. The hostess was incredibly kind, taking time to chat and share suggestions. It’s a peaceful spot close to Azeitão and Portinho. Azeitão and Portinho’s beaches are only a few minutes away, and there’s an even wider choice of restaurants nearby.

Booking.com let us reserve one night, and everything seemed fine at first. Then, a few months later, the day before we were supposed to pay, they said we had to book at least two nights. We could either pay double or cancel, and it ruined our vacation.
