Casal das Oliveiras

Manuela and Cláudio were such lovely hosts and made us feel at home. Everything was bright and clean, and the house and garden were beautifully decorated. The pool, outdoor showers, and sunbeds made it feel like a paradise we didn't want to leave. The setting is a beautiful, luxurious, authentic retreat in the quiet countryside around Setúbal, yet close to the city and wonderful beaches. My husband and I spent three days at Casal das Oliveiras in June, and by the end we wished we could stay longer. The peaceful garden had beautiful views across Setubal and the estuary. Cláudio and his mom were wonderful hosts who went out of their way to make us feel welcome. Breakfast, which costs extra, was fresh and lovely. The pool was refreshing, and our spotless bedrooms were cleaned daily. We loved it and would definitely return.

We stayed for a week and didn't want to leave. It's well placed for getting to the beaches of Arrabida and less than 10 minutes from Setubal. The guesthouse was spotlessly clean, with lovely views of the surrounding area and a pool to cool off in on hot days. Two amazing hosts run the place.

Claudio and his mother are an absolute delight. The shared outdoor area and pool are idyllic, and the communal kitchen and lounge make it easy to eat in. A beautiful oasis on the outskirts of Setúbal. We'll definitely be back!
