We made time to use just about every part of Casa da Lila during our February 2019 stay, which turned out to be the highlight of our three weeks in Portugal. We had sundowner cocktails on the roof terrace, ate on the main level, and enjoyed the pool’s shade with our feet in the water once the weather already felt summery. Silves is a gem, and staying for at least a week was the right choice. We got to enjoy excellent seafood at Rui’s for a second time, watched countless storks, and kept admiring the orange orchards. There’s still more of the Algarve for us to discover, so we’ll have to return. I’ve arranged trips for friends to other properties through urlaubsarchitektur.de, but was amazed by what we found here. Many thanks to the owners for sharing this wonderful place with strangers.
