Sintra is a magical area, with gardens, woods and castles to explore, and the hostel garden was lovely too. There's also a popular surfing beach about 20 minutes away by car. I really enjoyed the calm, friendly atmosphere and the hostel's decor and character. The tap water was some of the best I've ever had. I'm planning to come back.

The location is a little outside Sintra's historic centre, around a 10-15 minute walk, which suited us well. I loved that it's an eco hostel and encourages saving energy and resources. There's loads of room to explore, including extensive grounds and a spacious living room. The eight-bed dorm was great: quiet, no bunks, a big window and an amazing view. The manager, Christina, was extremely kind and helpful, and the big kitchen was well stocked for making meals. My only complaint was that a yoga retreat was happening during our stay, and we couldn't use the kitchen while their food was being prepared. The chef was really nice, though, and made space for us the next night. This was easily one of the best hostels I've stayed in. I haven't stayed in many, but it was such a wonderful experience.

The living room is beautiful, and the place has a cozy, cute feel. Great location in Sintra, lovely owners and a really good breakfast. I'd recommend it. The showers could use some attention, though. The walls and curtains can be dirty. Still, keep up the good work, it's awesome there.

We were sorry we couldn't stay longer. It was one of the prettiest places we visited on our Portugal trip, with a calm, peaceful feel, nature all around and fresh air. Just the place to relax. Breakfast is included and was really good, healthy and organic.

The free breakfast had cereal, fruit, toast and delicious coffee. I slept incredibly well, one of the best nights of my month-long backpacking trip. Our three-person room had its own bathroom and proper beds, no bunks. The walk from the train station takes about 20 minutes and is a scenic stroll through Sintra. I only planned one night there, but wish I'd booked more.
