The rooms were fine, breakfast was excellent, and the owners were very friendly.

There was an open sewer and a horrible smell. DO NOT COME HERE!!!

It was alright, with everything you could want, though the place felt a little short on warmth. The rooms are nicely decorated with vintage furniture, but the bathroom needs updating. The lovely first-floor terrace has no chairs or armchairs, and there isn’t even a small table, so nowhere to sit and read. One warning if, like my husband, you hope to enjoy the cold pool in peace after a day of sightseeing: the family’s children had taken it over with inflatable toys and were making an almost unbearable racket. If quiet is what you’re after, keep in mind it’s a B&B and you’re sharing.

The manager was always helping us, arranging things, explaining, and making sure we could relax and enjoy our trip. Breakfast was good, too. There’s a central mini bar with excellent prices, handy if you suddenly want beer 🍻, wine, water, or something else. The hotel is well placed near the city centre, with large, comfortable rooms, each with its own bathroom, and a lovely outdoor pool. An exceptional stay in romantic Sintra.
