The staff were so sweet and helpful. I’d missed online check-in because I’d been travelling for about two days without service, and the manager waited for me, walked me through everything, and gave me his WhatsApp so I could reach him any time. That kind of thoughtfulness really made the place feel comfortable for travellers. There’s so much useful stuff here: free laundry on the first floor, lockers for luggage until 5 PM, umbrellas, hats, little blankets, and no extra charges for those things. The minibar is available for you to use, there’s lovely breakfast, and tea service all day. The rooms are spacious and have everything you need. It’s in a walkable area, about 10 minutes from the train station. I walked to all the sights, roughly 30 minutes each way on a beautiful, pleasant route, and did that twice with no trouble. I also got an Uber easily on a rainy day. I took a day trip to Cascais and was able to leave my luggage in the lockers. I’d been dreaming about staying in Sintra for years and knew it was the town for me. This hotel made a huge difference. I loved it so much I almost want to keep it to myself. I wouldn’t stay anywhere else, trust me.

Douglas deserves a special mention for being so helpful, and all the staff were wonderfully attentive. Downstairs, the common room works well for breakfast, a glass of wine or port, snacks, or just catching up with friends. The breakfasts were delicious. The rooms are spotless and nicely furnished with what you need for a comfortable stay. The location puts you right in the heart of Sintra, close to everything.

Though it’s right on a main street, it was very quiet, and we all loved staying here. The rooms are lovely, with amazingly comfortable beds and pillows, a great shower, and a fridge in each room. Breakfast was great, as were the drinks and snacks available. There are washers and dryers, plus an iron and ironing board. The dryer belt might be slipping, it makes a terrible noise now and then. There are different outdoor seating areas, and a locker room where you can leave your luggage if needed.

We had two rooms, one with a very large king bed and another with twin beds for our adult kids. Both had strong A/C and comfortable showers, and the hotel’s stylish decor carries through beautifully. There’s a cosy shared area with afternoon treats, wine, coffee, and tea. Breakfast had everything we wanted and was very good. Lovely spot in the heart of Sintra.
