The garden felt like something from a fairytale, with a lovely pond and lots of little hidden corners to find. The staff were very nice and professional, and everything was clean. There was also a wonderful smell we noticed before we even got into the room. My husband found out what product they use so he could try to get it for our house. We stayed two nights in the bungalow by the garden. The bedroom was big, the bed comfortable, and the shower had strong hot water. We only used the microwave, so I can’t comment on cooking in the kitchen. Breakfast had plenty of choice, and booking a time slot meant it wasn’t crowded. We went early and were served straight away. A very nice hotel in beautiful Sintra. We recommend it and will definitely be back.

We’re Aussies in our mid 60s, driving around Portugal, and this place was such a find for the price. The building is wonderful, the rooms were spotless, and breakfast was great. Staff were welcoming and spoke good English. There’s parking on site, and it’s an easy enough walk if you’re reasonably fit to the old town and the train station for Lisbon’s centre. Just book it, and don’t try driving around town!

We needed twin beds and parking, and this place worked out perfectly. The apartments have AC and are spacious, comfortable, and super clean. Breakfast was small but enough. Metamorphosis is an outstanding restaurant about a seven minute walk away. It was so good we ate there both nights. Get an apartment and you won’t be disappointed.

The location is nice and you can walk to the sights. The room was cute, and the bed comfortable, but there was always a drain smell mixed with the old furniture smell. The kitchen wasn’t very useful. Breakfast was the main problem. They use time slots, and even though we asked two days ahead, the earliest we could book was 9.30. They’d said to reserve the day before, which we tried, but then the first two slots were already full. Another day we had to leave early. The alternative was breakfast delivered to the room the evening before for us to prepare ourselves. It was a very small breakfast with no coffee, tea, jam, or butter. That’s not what I expect when breakfast is included in the hotel price.
